We would like to invite you to join us again for Riverlovers EIGHTEENTH ANNUAL SHADFEST. Riverlovers Inc. is a non-profit environmental organization operating in Northern Westchester and Putnam Counties. We are affiliated with the Hudson River Sloop Clearwater. The SHADFEST will again include continuous entertainment, demonstrations of shad preparation and a free shad tasting provided by our co-sponsor, the Hudson River Foundation. We will also have environmental education and displays. Riverlovers will sell food and desserts to the public. Admission is free but the general public will be charged a county parking fee. Vendors and festival staff will be exempted. Riverlovers will again launch an extensive publicity campaign.
Date: Sunday, May 18, 2008 (rain or shine, sorry no rain date)
Time: 11 AM to 5 PM
Setup: 9-10 AM (Vendor spaces will not be available before 9 AM!)
Location: Croton Point Park, Croton-on-Hudson.
Croton Point Avenue exit of Route 9. Look for SHADFEST signs at exit.
Space: 10" X 12" (outdoors, no cover, no electricity, tables and chairs not provided) Your own canopy or shelter is suggested.
Parking: Large lot adjoining festival grounds.
Publicity: Riverlovers will arrange for notices in local papers and announcements in other local media. Posters will be put up in northern Westchester and Putnam vicinity. Vendors are encouraged to put up flyers in their area. (See below)
Eco-Safe: Please do not bring items that are unfriendly to the environment, animals or people. Please state explicitly in your application what items you plan to sell.
Fee: $45 per space ($60 per double space) if received before May 5, 2008; thereafter the rates are $65 per space ($85 per double space)
